I think Eli’s newborn session was what started my current obsession with all things pale teal. The color itself conveys a universal calm, and it’s only fitting that Eli did the same during his very first portrait session here in Clarksville, TN. Whether he was sweetly sleeping with his arms above his head, swaddled snug in deep slumber, or propped up and posed dreamily, one word described it all: CALM. Even during a hail Mary attempt to get a sibling portrait, Eli relaxed as two little girls giggled, cried, tickled, argued, yelled, jostled, kissed, squeezed, bumped and loved on him. I can’t help but think that he already knows what’s in store for him growing up with two big sisters, and that his knack for serenity is nothing less than an ingenious survival mechanism 😉
I especially love how easily he modeled these adorable hats from Kasey’s Creations too! I’m torn on which I like best on him – the grey chevron newborn hat or the charcoal newborn fedora. What do you think?
His session wouldn’t be complete without a feature over at Best Newborn Photographers too! Apparently they really enjoyed this image of Eli casting his cares away, dreaming at sea. Do you have a favorite picture from Eli’s portraits?
