Baby Bryellah Featured | Fort Campbell Newborn Baby Photographer
Baby Bryellah was one of my favorite sessions last year! There are numerous reasons WHY her session was a favorite, but I will share a few. It all started back when I had been praying often about how to make my portfolio more ethnically diverse without crossing that politically incorrect fine line. I still wasn’t sure how to lovingly market to other races specifically in our community, without appearing as if I were prejudiced or stereotyping. I just kept praying about it. A woman contacted me via email with the sweetest message I had ever received as an inquiry:
“You truly inspired me. From your amazing work to your selfless courage to help others…
I was in tears when I was going through your posts and everything else….
My baby will be here soon and I’m thinking of using you to capture this special time.”
We exchanged emails for a few months planning the pictures, getting to know each other, and sorting out details for baby Bryellah’s pictures. The day of her session was the first time I met the family, and when they walked in the door I immediately realized that they were an answered prayer for me. Bryellah was a beautiful baby girl with a head full of curly black hair. She was a chunky little diva too with baby rolls everywhere (my favorite!). I had fun playing dress up with her – from one hairbow to the next, one prop to another. I got lost in my own little world with Bryellah while mom & dad snoozed in the chairs too. Everything went wonderfully.
The resulting images were just as beautiful as I thought they might be, considering Bryellah was the star. She was featured twice on the Best Newborn Photographers page and one of her images is now the face of my business card. I thanked her mother and shared with her how grateful I was to have been chosen. She sweetly reminded me:
“Awwh, I’m glad I found you when I did too, it worked out perfectly. You have a huge heart. That’s what drew me to you.”
It just goes to show that wearing your heart on your sleeve can be a very good thing every now and then. Don’t be afraid to be you.
The following image of Bryellah is on display over at Bump & Rump
in the PX
at Fort Campbell
. Be sure to stop by and check out the store (you will love it) and you will see hers and a handful of my other newborn baby pictures displayed there.
In all fairness, I should add that Bryellah wasn’t the only one sleeping soundly throughout her session though…
I have little Bryellah on my calendar next month for her 6 month portraits now, can you believe that? Her mom has texted me pictures throughout the past few months and I have to say that you’re going to be head over heels for her all over again. I know that’s hard to imagine, but she just keeps getting cuter. So, stay tuned for a Bryellah update soon! Make sure you follow the fanpage on Facebook
so that you don’t miss out on her sneak peek
Thanks for reading! Take a chance and wear your heart on your sleeve for a day
